Herbal Medicine is a healing system based on the traditional use of plants and plant parts (flowers, leaves, roots, seeds) to support the body to maintain or return to health. It treats the whole person not just the symptoms, and is gentle yet powerful.
Herbal treatments can take different forms including tinctures, teas, powders, capsules, or creams.
Qualifying as a Medical Herbalist requires undertaking a rigorous course lasting 3-5 years. The subjects include anatomy & physiology, plant phytochemistry, materia medica, nutrition, herbal safety, academic research, clinical examination & diagnosis.
Students are also required to complete at least 500 hours of clinical training, supervised by qualified medical herbalist tutors.
Each of us are unique individuals with a complex, dynamic physiology. A combination of herbs are chosen specifically for you, not just for treating an isolated list of symptoms.
Consultations are available in-person in King's Lynn, Norfolk, and also on-line. Please get in touch using the contact details below.
